ANFF-Q clients awarded more than $3.4 million in ARC LIEF Grants

ANFF-Q would like to congratulate our clients on securing 5 Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities (LIEF) Grants. Congratulations to:

  • Associate Professor Mirko Lobino, who is part of the team setting up an photonic chip integration facility thanks to their successful LIEF grant.
  • Professor Nam-Trung Nguyen and Professor Halina Rubinsztein-Dunlop, who are part of the team setting up a multi-kilohertz laser for attosecond and ultrafast science thanks to their successful LIEF grant.
  • Dr Nathan Palpant, who is part of the team setting up a electrophysiology platform for ion-channel characterisation thanks to their successful LIEF grant.
  • Professor Stephen Mahler, who is part of the team setting up a world-class integrated, multi-nodal bio-layer interferometry facility thanks to their successful LIEF grant.
  • Professor Warwick Bowen, who is part of the team setting up an advanced multi-functional electro-opto-magneto-mechanical analysis platform thanks to their successful LIEF grant.

Similar to the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) that funds ANFF-Q, the ARC LIEF scheme enables researchers to participate in cooperative initiatives so that expensive research infrastructure, equipment and facilities can be shared between higher education organisations and also with industry.

We look forward to working with these new facilities and platforms to further enable research in Australia.
